AMD and Intel loserz?? lolz

From my reading of this whole article everyone has valid points to make, though the main topic of conversation appears to be the definition of Brand Loyalty and Fanboyism.

Loyalty in essence has to work both ways
Which of the 2 groups above if they are indeed different groups agree with the strangling/squashing/ruining of a former leading cpu in the computing world. Lots of peeps are looking at severe monitary loss when they go upgrade their existing Intel cpu.

ThG said this about Conroe
This processor will replace the complete Pentium 4 and Pentium D family, targeting the Athlon 64 family in the desktop space.

IMO I don't think any of the 2 main cpu manufacturer's really give a toss what they do to existing owners is this a lack of Loyalty on there part, no its called making a buck or putting bread on the table.

I buy based on $/performance and cash flow available no loyalty envolved, so how do I determine good and bad performance? by sifting through loads of reviews/forum articles like this one ontil the performance shines through :)
