AMD Announces DirectX 12 Game Engine Developer Partnerships

Woohoo, 4 games i never want to play optimised for hardware im unlikely to buy

It's only the beginning :p

Think about it going forward we have GCN in consoles DirectX12 and Vulkan will make porting much easier now the code optimised for consoles can easy but used on the pc version = less time and cost for the developer.

2017 is going to be a very interesting year.

We will all really have to worry if they are optimising current PC content against 3 year old console hardware

Just hope they dont partner too many more, the devs are gonna lose out on sales from me if they do. Apart from Deus Ex, the rest of those games are of little interest to me. I'm happy to take the hit and not buy Deus Ex this time round though.

Why? You can still play it with nvidia.

Just to clear up all the talk on Total War since the link the op doesn't mention anything Warhammer TW will have DX12 link

Total War: WARHAMMER
A fantasy strategy game of legendary proportions, Total War: WARHAMMER combines an addictive turn-based campaign of epic empire-building with explosive, colossal, real-time battles, all set in the vivid and incredible world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles.
Sprawling battles with high unit counts are a perfect use case for the uniquely powerful GPU multi-threading capabilities offered by Radeon graphics and DirectX 12. Additional support for DirectX 12 asynchronous compute will also encourage lightning-fast AI decision making and low-latency panning of the battle map.

From the ops link, it's literally the first game listed.

One has to ask why they've not chosen the Vulkan route, Saying that because a few of their other total war games have come across to linux/steamos
