Future Mods in order of predicted completion;

4-1 Cold Cathodes - Red Removed due to messy wires.

Side Panel Window Fan now on side panel, now running SLI so a window would heat things up.

Monitor to replace TV (TV is great for gaming, just terrible for everything else...) X2

Custom made corner desk (When we move our bed to another room) - Designed - Ikea'd

Added a second 560 Ti 2GB for SLI

Add another monitor

Upgrade to next generation of AM3+ (Piledriver when released) Ordered a FX-8350 and arriving 05/04/13

Another 8gb Ram for virtual Machines

Custom Watercooling Loop

Add a third monitor

Key:

Done

In-progress

Soon to be

Far Off

Just realised something... I think the OcUK Build Logs is for staff only... I originally thought it was there for builds using parts from OcUK. I actually thought the OcUK Build Logs Thread List was new as I hadn't noticed it before and it only has a few Threads. Just checked the dates on those threads... not good.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did I screw up big time?

You guys would lol if you knew how much he spent on this.

Anyway nice build you should really bread those cables would look nice n clean maybe just get some extensions.

We're not here to laugh at other people's build regardless on how much he spent on a bulldozer build. If you don't like it or feel it's not what you would do then GTFO.. too much B*t*hing on this forum.

Actually in his other thread we had tonnes of people tried to convince him that when spending like £900+ and still only a FX-4100 build something is seriously wrong (i.e. more money on less important things), and people even quoted he can get a i5 3570K for similar cost. But the OP stubbornly went ahead...and to put more salt of the wound, he's paying for the parts on finance...

What's done is done, can't turn back time now...I genuinely wishes OP good luck with his gaming (and hope that the main games he plays don't use low number of threads and ain't CPU demanding like mmos for example).

I've seen my friend's i3 2120 slightly bottlenecking his GTX560Ti when playing on BF3 64 players servers on high settings (meaning less GPU dependent), and at times the GPU usage drops to around 80%, and the i3 2120 is actually quite a bit faster than the FX4100 (and no slower than a overclocked FX4100) gaming performance wise.

I've probably tipped a fraction over the £1000 mark...and I have a Bulldozer build too...and if someone somewhere doesn't like it...pfft what do I care LOL:)

Nice build Oliver :)

yep, £900 on an AMD rig here, worth every penny to me, i would do it all over again and enjoy it just as much. its doing exactly what i wanted from it, and then some...

We all have our personal preferences. people getting upset because those preferences don't chime in with their own just shows how silly those individuals are.

A £900 FX-4100 build would be weak, A £900 FX-4170 build is much better. I could overclock the FX-4170 much higher than the FX-4100 even though the chips are almost the same. The FX-4170 is a chip that managed to pass higher tests, meaning overclocking it to 5Ghz should be easy, but an FX-4100 would struggle to be stable at 4.6Ghz.

I know the chip names probably confuse you, all the Intel one confuse the hell out of me too.

FX-4100 = 3.6Ghz
FX-4170 = 4.2Ghz

My FX-4170 is currently running at 4.6Ghz, I could go higher but the heat doesn't justify the OC.
