Im not having a forum break down, maybe you have not been here long enough to see that my posts have mellowed allot since joining OcUK and were near to what DM post in length.

And im just trying to prevent people from jumping to common conclusion about me like the example in the "Just went from [email protected] to [email protected]" thread with me and Jokester.
Which is classic example.

Another example was a long talk about the Value of AMD motherboards in another thread, 90% of which was unnecessary but people will just not accept things for what they are and feel that you must justify wanting what you want to them.

Phenom II didn't have anymore room to grow, so AMD had to make a new architecture which is BD. Either Chew or JF-AMD explained this on the XS forum. BD should have plenty of room to grow, so even if the first stepping doesn't beat a 2600k, there will be other steppings. The refresh will supposedly bring big improvements. The first BD is just the beginning, a necessary first step. Without it we'd never have the future BD's. So certainly not pointless imo.

Also JF has repeatedly said that ipc will increase. I tend to believe that, rather than some fake benchmarks and doomsayers claiming otherwise :)

It does not matter and its something that you should understand with what used to happen to you in the gfx section.

IF you don't like NV then you must Love ATI which time and time again you had to fight against.

The truth matters even if you risk looking bad.

People come across much worse on the net than they do in real life.

You didn't read what I said did you?
First thread on a module could be higher IPC than Phenom II, the second? 80% scaling on average, AMD's slides say so.

Also, not fake benchmarks, legit benchmarks. The benchmarks are from the leaked slides at an AMD internal PR event.

Well yeah but that's not quite the same thing. If what you were saying was along those lines, you know I'd be in support of what you were saying.

What would happen in the graphics section would be people getting really uppity and butthurt because I often criticised nVidia, and acted like I criticised nVidia because I was "in love" with AMD when the reality was there was very little to criticise AMD over compared to nVidia.

You've gotten upset because of how some one quoted you, I personally think it was a fair thing to do and was pretty clear that he didn't mean you were saying it (It was on an image you linked after all), anyone reading the thread with any drop of common sense would know you hadn't said that.

Well someone did say that they thought i was saying it if you read back and that's the point, i knew he was not trying to say that i said it but i could see how others may and that was confirmed by another person, it was the fact that he was not thinking of the possibility why i jumped on him.
Some people will and some people wont.

You cant rely on common sense, i like to try to idiot proof everything, that's a phrase , im not calling anyone an idiot.

But i dont make as much effort as i used to.

DM posts are long and detailed because he is trying not to leave anything unexplained for someone to get the wrong idea.

Maybe i should go back to my old ways.

And now that some more people will know that i'm twitchy about some things, less misunderstanding in future i hope.

Living with my reputation is easy, its having to live with the reputation of what everyone else does that i find difficult.

I have wondered at times why you have not corrected my bad ways when it comes to typing.
Maybe its because you know that i simply don't care for typing and that there is no hope. :)
