start task manager and go into processes, right click on the process you want to set and click on set affinity and you can choose which core you want it to use

The features on google chrome are very helpful too for when your actually slower than the computer.
ok kool, so if you do that, does it unassign every other application from that core?
Is it worth the effort of assigning programs to cores? Or would it be better to just leave it LOL
Firefox isn't actually that great for speed. It takes longer to open than IE, for example. If you want speed, go Chrome. If you want extreme customisation, go Firefox.I was told that firefox was better. Which is actually better? for speed and multitasking

Chrome fails on a lot of sites I need to access, though IE9 looks to be pretty good regardless. I don't get the hype of different browsers for speed. Compatibility is king, no?
It will be interesting to see what happens with firefox 4. It is supposed to be faster.
I am a massive firefox fanboy. I could never swap to any other browser as I have got used to and rely on all my addons. Also speed tests dont take into account the time/bandwidth saved by blocking adverts. Although chrome has an adblocker now doesnt it?
Although if i change to firefoox I assume I'll have to re add all of my favorites?
No it should import your favourites from any previous browser.
