Hi there

AMD have extended the mega discount on the 295 X2 until end of next week for us or when the stock is gone, whichever comes soon.

Of course we have now learned there is nothing to stop AMD from maybe repeating this in the future, but right now once they withdraw their support our price shall have to increase back towards the £700 mark.

So might as well grab them, though I can't be 100% sure as you never can but I seriously doubt these will go cheaper, I mean it is now less than buying a pair of 290X which makes it a great buy:

MSI Radeon R9 295 X2 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card @ £509.99 inc VAT

No matter what the game or the resolution you can now select the maximum settings even at 4k resolution and enjoy fluid ultimate smooth framerates in latest games such as Titanfall, Diablo 3, Watchdogs and even potential upcoming games such as GTA V and Half Life 3 should they surface.

Featuring a pair of 290X Hawaii GPU's fused onto a single PCB with an advanced PLX chip along with only requiring 2x 8-Pin power connectors.

The other major feature of the 295 X2 is its cooling solution which truly does keep the cards temperatures around 60c even after gaming for hours and it also manages to do this in more or less silence with zero throttling of the cores themselves. Making it one of the smoothest, quietest and easily most powerful graphics card on the market today. If you really crave the most powerful and have or are considering a 4k monitor for gaming then the 295 X2 is the card for you.

If your demands are truly the most powerful experience possible then these cards work great in Crossfire (4 GPU's) and you will be able to smash benchmarks to pieces and have no slow downs in games.

God damnit Gibbo, i don't even need one but why is there one in my basket. :(

I will be honest I have no idea why they are doing it as to my knowledge the stocks are quite low worldwide and there is from what I can see nothing newer coming from AMD which would challenge this card.

So seems an odd one, but this offer has quadrupled our sales, it is why Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire and XFX have all now sold out.

MSI is now the last of our 295 X2's and we've less than 50 units left and MSI at present stating they have no more in their European hubs left.

Is this saying that you have seen/heard of something newer coming soon, but it wont challenge this card.....? :D;):D

I have a 295x2 with a R290x but this is still slightly tempting :p

Must resist, gotta remember I have to buy Christmas gifts for people other than myself!

Not really, yeah it is suspected 390X is in the pipeline for Q1 next year to go up against 980 and maybe beat it, but no new card will match the power of 295 X2 for sure. Well unless NVIDIA made something like say a 990 GTX for example.

Thought you were going for the reference 8 gig cards?

am i right in thinking this isn't really an 8gb card but 2 x 4gb so only effectively 4gb of ram?

Yes, 8 gigs physically on the card between 2 cores so 4 gigs. But mantle has a feature where it can be 8 gigs, just not been used yet.

Any chance of you pressing AMD for a 295X2 with 16gb of VRAM (8gb per GPU).

If you could shift them for around £700 each, a pair would give stunning performance @4K.

You could even do a 4K bundle including a monitor and a pair of these 295X2s.

I doubt they could fit that many memory chips on one PCB lol but if they could manage it then ya it would be awesome.

Though tbh with their next line up of cards supposedly around the corner its another reason why they may not bother. Could be a good idea for a 395X2 though :D

What do you mean 'maybe beat it'?
The AMD people were constantly moaning that the 980 didn't add any performance to last Gen, if AMD do the same I think some heads will explode!
