AMD freesync coming soon, no extra costs.... shocker

Mines doesn't go dark, it's more a very light change in hue/contrast.

The actual output though is astounding tbh, testing via this page:

You can read the street names via lightboost, where as it's only blur you get on normal mode.

Maybe activate lightboost after the game launches?

Can't be bothered with that every time I play a game.

I did test on something like that and it was better. Not life changing better, but there was a difference.

I think for mine it was a combination of looking darker and some hue/contrast issues.

If it wasn't for this and the hassle of setting it up I would use it, but I didn't think the difference made was worth the effort or putting up with the colour change.

It's the same sort of reason that while I'm interested in FreeSync/GSync I'm not overly bothered by it as again I don't see it making too much difference in the games I play that sit at pretty much 120fps constantly.

I followed blurbusters guide on using Lightboost and setting the colours but it looked terrible. Game was certainly more fluid and responsive but I am not a pro gamer, so stay as it is.

Can't read the street names at 480 Pixels/Sec, 360 is the highest i can read them.

Is that bad?

Edit, good question ^^^^ :) LG IPS 226-V

With the "lightboost" function on I can read them at 1440 Pixels/Sec, without I can only do 360.
I think it's clear enough at 1920 too, but at that speed my eyes can't really keep up!

Ah ok, no Lightboost and 360 i don't feel so bad :)

I take it there is no Lightboost hack for screens that don't have it? at least i don't think my screen has it.
