No it was AMD that came with Project FreeSync! Manufactures will be using the Adaptive-sync Name I believe.

But am so Poor I might not be able to buy one :(

Sorry wasn't it Matt that came up with the name, (i think someone else thought of it, Matt used it on twitter, popularised it, then got the credit) iirc

Seems this guy knew what he was talking about as well :D

AMD still don't have eyefinity frame pacing sorted yet, so I wouldn't hold my breath on AMD coming with anything in the next year.

If it works as well as G-Sync, the guys who get one are in for a treat. If there is a premium, which I expect there will be, it will still be worth getting.

I said something similar earlier in this thread, appears it was ignored in favour of the usual **** lol :p

Premiums are irrelevant as far as this kind of tech is concerned, worth paying every penny for.

Gregster getting stutter with SLI and GSync how can you rate it so highly? Who to blame for it? And is it all games with SLI?
I can tell you right now when I get Freesync monitor and it don't work with Crossfire it won't be getting the praise you giving it.

The issue is game specific and only on 344.xx drivers and later (maxwell). Roll back to 340.xx and everything is just fine, albeit lacking profiles for games released since then.

Its nothing at all related with GSync, broken driver branch is broken, if anything GSync hides the glaring issues with the 344.xx drivers by smoothing things out.

If it hides the issues and smooth things out why is it he having issue with stutter when SLI is enabled? if it hides it then you wouldn't notice it?
Am very interested in this tech and can't wait to try freesync out but if I find it dont work with Xfire i'll be one very unhappy person.

The issue is more apparent with 3 cards (Greg) then with two (me). It masks the issue but knowing what Bf4 is like on 340 you can still tell something isn't quite right with 344.

Gsync/sli is flawless on 340, a few titles feel off in sli on 344, granted I haven't tested that many games as my gaming time is extremely limited at the moment.

Gsync is managed by the monitor, so one has to presume on 344 the frames being sent to the monitor are off in some way, where as freesync is almost entirely managed by the gpu and its drivers, so provided there aren't issues at driver level I can't see why freesync wouldn't play nice with crossfire.
