AMD Gaming Evolved Center (Raptr)

Just uninstalled this crap.. i gave it quite a few hours of my time just to have totally wasted my time on it.

It struggles to stream to Twitch (when it actually works, quality is **** poor) and it seems to slow my computer down (i noticed a difference as soon as i'd uninstalled it). I know u can disable it but the tracking options is way too much and is all on by default.

I sent them a message saying that they need to employ the OBS devs.

Rant over.

Totally agree, it's useless for Twitch.

Never using Raptr again it's pointless. Just add the game recording part to CCC.

It's happened in Metro, Mass Effect 2 and Far Cry 3 (got a huge backlog of games I'm working through). Most recently Far Cry 3 after I installed the Omegas and decided to give the Omegas another whirl.

Simply closing Raptr before playing a game seems to remedy the issue. I might try a fresh install of the Omega drivers, following an uninstall / DDU, this evening.

Before you unistall the Drivers use IObit Unistaller to unistall the GE app, let the Driver instillation install the GE App.

How am I supposed to use the Gaming Evolved app? When I load it I get a login with a user name something like raptrguest*** and the password is already filled in but it doesn't log me in. Just says unable to contact raptr.com, check your connection....

Edit: Signed up on Raptr.com and created a username and password, still no luck

Just uninstalled it. Not my cup of tea and my screen defaulted to some mental resolution that left my screen in 3 "pieces"

Reboot fixed it but still a pain in the cornhole

Thanks for the help. Tried to get it working earlier following a suggestion on that forum stating it might be firewall causing the problem. Gave GE permission around my firewall, even disabled my firewall completey. Disabled anti virus and it still wouldn't work.

Was just about to uninstall it now but thought I'd have one last try at get on and now its suddenly working  God knows why but I'm not gonna complain :)

Good to know you got it working. :)

Anyone know if they plan to improve GVR a little bit ? I keep defaulting back to Mirillis Action as it never fails and records everything on screen whereas Raptr decided for no reason that it would only record the sound half way through a play through of AvP yet Mirillis works flawlessly.

Security Announcement - Some Raptr accounts have been compromised.

Raptr security update: Please reset your password

Posted in Raptr and one other community

Maintaining the highest level of security around your Raptr account information is of the utmost importance to us, so we're very sorry to inform you that some Raptr user data may have been recently compromised in an attack similar to hacking activities that have targeted other high-profile sites and services such as Xbox Live and Sony's PlayStation Network.

User names, email addresses, password hashes, and some first and last names may have been accessed. This means that although the passwords are hashed, users with weak passwords are vulnerable to unauthorized access. It's important to note that our two-factor authentication system used for redeeming Raptr Reward Points ensures that even if your Raptr account was among those compromised, the points you've earned as a Raptr member are protected.

Although the potential risk to Raptr users is pretty minimal, we urge you to access any accounts on other sites and services in which you use the same login and password associated with your Raptr account and change the related password(s) immediately.

Reset your password at your earliest convenience in order to help safeguard your Raptr account. In doing so, we strongly advise you to use a password that is reasonably complex and not associated with another site/service account.

>>RESET YOUR PASSWORD HERE<<

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact Raptr's Customer Service group.

>>CUSTOMER SERVICE<<

We're extremely sorry about this situation and are committed to further improving account security going forward.

Sincerely,

Dennis Fong
