Most ryzen boards will be using Daisy chain. Only a handful like the Taichi boards will have T-Topology layouts that favour four slots occupied rather than the 2 of daisy chain.
More PCB layers is generally better for memory overclocks as well.
You can only really find these things out from more technical reviews and tear-downs. Like buildzoid on Actually hardcore overclocking.
