I certainly could do with TommyBhoy's expertise on the matter

.
As your using dual cards, if Rusty and co can tell you that Sli works in every 3D title, then I'd say stump up the cash for 3D surround.
There is a few titles that don't work well in 3D with CrossFire(they all work in single mode)-Alan Wake(although Nightmares is fine

), Kingdom of Amalur and Warhammer Marines(but they both run fine is single gpu mode anyway), the other 25+ or so I've tried work well though.
As Rusty said your going to take a hit selling your gpu's on-although the 7970 deals are mighty good at the moment, along with the 23" Sammy SA700(NEEDS Dual Link DVI, lightnings don't do D-LDVI

), other Sammys have DP so it may not be an issue.
Tridef just works, it's surprisingly good if not pretty excellent- the polar opposite as was made out here.
Sure there is a couple of tips you could do with knowing if you went down that route, but on the whole, loving it.
You can always go Tridef on your 680's with the Sammy too(comes bundled), but your locked to 720p with Nvidia gpu's as Nvidia won't let them do 120Hz FS

.
After lots of thought, I suppose going the Tridef route enables me to go 3D regardless of AMD/Nvidia so that's a plus in my book as your not tied to any of the two.
@Dave,
thanks for the clocks info, looks like I'm flicking the switch to the Ghz one to try these drivers-you just gotta love dual bios switches.
@Matt, check your mail, I sent you a GHz bios, 2D clocks are 300/150MHz

.
*Came back and edited this for you after I sent the bios and tested it out.*
@C64,
Why don't you roll back to your last stable driver instead of playing about with a 7 series optimisation/performance Beta driver that won't have any performance boosts for the 69's?
