AMD "Never Settle" 12.11 Driver - benchmarks

Yup, these are all GCN optimisations, and as the 5 and 6 series aren't GCN they aren't going to benefit.

They've already squeezed every last drop from 5 and 6XXX.

All those BF3 benchmarks are for single player right?

I'll reserve judgement until i see improvements on a 64 player server.

While I don't get the BF3 mania, in the hardwarecanucks review

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/foru...-12-11-never-settle-driver-performance-5.html

in the lowest setting they tested (the one without without MSAA), min frames went up massively. I don't know what the bottleneck in multi-player BF3 is, but I would think that min frames would be more important than max frames.

Aw hell yeah, a 1000 point boost on my 7970 would push me near the top!!!

C'Mon with the leak already :D

Yeah good point. I havent seen any problems yet but there must be some for them to be pulled. If anyone wants to try them I am happy to send them to you but do so at your own risk :) These are leaked betas after all.

That's a single player benchmark. I don't think it will have any bearing in multiplayer.

DO NOT download that. There's a reason why AMD states in their release notes that it shouldn't be distributed (guess Hilbert neglected to read). There are supposedly compatibility issues with the HD 6000 and HD 5000 series cards.

The HD 6000 series could see some optimizations in certain titles.
