AMD or INTEL

I've not tried an IB of any type, but my 8350 is not a cool chip.
I'm also becoming more convinced it's not a very good chip (not mine specifically, well maybe mine specifically it's the only one I've tried).

At stock the processor runs fairly cool. When people say it's to hot they mean when it's overclocked.
