Hello everyone, sessions greetings ;)

Am new to the forum, and looking for some advice

Basically am looking to build a new system as my current one is getting a bit old (will post my current spec below)

I've been out of the PC component loop for a while now and just wondering which is the best way to go AMD or Intel,at the time of building my current PC Intel were the way to go as they had just released their core 2 duos which am running (an E6850 3.0gh)

I was thinking about buying into Intel's Haswell, am not an intel fan boy or anything like that and don't want to dismiss AMD, I just thought it would be good to stick to what I know

Once again any help advice a brief description on the past 6 odd years LOL would be awesome

MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS N GIRLS :) :) :)

Intel if budget isn't a concern, AMD if it is. Give us an idea of budget, what you require (monitor, O/S etc) and what the main use of the computer is and we'll spec you up.

Oh, and welcome to the forums :D

Hello and welcome.

Default questions:
* What will the PC be used for?
* Will you be reusing current components? (Monitor, HDD, OS, PSU...)
* What's the budget?

P.S. you didn't list your current system as you said you would.

Opppps sorry guys forgotten my current specs

RAM: Corsair XMS 4 GIG
PSU: Corsair HXT 620

Basically just looking for a new tower as I have monitors, keyboard ect
Was thinking about using my graphics card and upgrading as and when if possible

I plan on using my new PC for editing photos as I've just got into photography and gaming
Budget is about £1000

Yep I Can Use My OS Again

I was looking at the NZXT 860 I think it was, it comes with a lot of room, fans, and dust filters

Am Currently Using An Antec P182B

Is Their/Will Their Be Much Room With That Case ? :/

It`s a fairly large case, so will accommodate your components without any problems.
Have a look through the case section and see if there is one that you would prefer, as case choice is personal. I only added it to make up the spec, it would`nt be my choice.
