AMD Phenom X4 9950 AM2 Heat Problem

Well done on changing the psu. My Qtec took out 3 Hard drives in the time I had it, and was getting random crashes about once a week. Others have reported far worse. The new PSU has already paid for itself by hopefully not taking anything out with it! (which is highly likely with the qtec).

Have you got the right voltage supplying the memory?
 
Hi guys, new PSU arrived and fitted today ... huge improvement. AMD overdrive stability test shut down my comp with old PSU after about 5 seconds. With new one installed its been going for over 30 min now stable.

Temps are according to SpeedFan:
(All in Degrees C) During Stablility Test using AMD Overdrive
System = 35
AUX = 75
CPU = 72
Core = 55 (AMD Overdrive showing 55 on all cores so Core on SpeedFan must be CPU)

CPU must be something else, PSU??

CPU ID Monitor showing:

SYSTIN = 35
CPUTIN = 72
ACPI THERM = 72
Core = 55
HDD = 40

As for mem voltage thats 2.1V under DRAM in CPUID monitor. PC2 8500 1066 Mhz 4GB
 
Stability test just finished ... Idle temps are:

Will try some gaming now ;-)
