AMD preparing faster Hawaii GPU

We are going to have a new next gen G.C. I hope they can be able to play @4k.

I think the next gen of GFX cards will be more capable of 4k but id expect to only see it work well with at least 2 cards minimum. I think the generation after we may be able to see one card cope at 4k on its own.

Yes it will be the price that is milking not the fact there is new hardware.

290X 8GB £330. GTX 980 4GB £470. GTX 980 8GB £550? £650?

Nvidia can justify a premium as they are the performance leader, but at what point do you call that premium price 'milking'. At £470, the 980 is already pricey for a 28nm card that is using less components than the previous cards.

It's all highly subjective, if you think the prices the fair and the next person does not. It's not something people can agree on. My opinion is that if an 8GB 980 did ever see the light of day it could have a very high premium. Each to their own.

Clearly the 970 is the bang for buck card from Nvidia, the 980 is already at a premium..

I'll ignore you're little 'rolleyes' as ** I won't be rude or insulting **

Take it easy :)

To be fair, 980's can be had for £400. Even at launch if you shopped around you could get one for very near £400 as well.

You do realise that both the 290x and the 980 had the same recommended launch price $549, you might have a point if the 980 was already over a year old and still at its currant price, but as it stands you were just wrong. Accusing Nvidia of milking on a price and in fact product that they haven't even announced yet.

So you can have a different smiley.
