AMD® Phenom™ II Overclocking Thread

Here's my proof, there's a lot that can affect them.

Once my hand's fixed, I can set up my WC, and show more proof.

Read the edit.
I was talking IBT maximum.
I know you're new to overclocking Phenom's, I've owned 3 myself, and worked with 2 others. Conclusion? I know more than you on this subject.

lol wow way to come across as a douche. You can pull the experience card all you want, but physics remain the same.

You're free to disbelieve anything I say, do you have to believe me? Nope.
I'm just defending my claim, and you're pulling the douche card.
See what I did there?

I know about Prime. We had the same lecture ;)
My point was getting IBT stable, as opposed having it BSOD while running IBT.

Never BSOD'ed on anything I did. Once I get my WC sorted, I'll get a prime 8 hour screenshot. I just messed my hand up lol.

1C would still not make a difference really

But it does.
Phenom II's don't have anywhere near the same thermal coping capabilites of C2's, i7's etc.

And how'd you describe overheating causing BSOD? It's got to be a certain temperature where it dies, and one where it doesn't, the difference? 1C.

Anyway gareth, perhaps you need more CPU-NB?
well im up to 2600mhz with 1.275v, i may push it up to 2800mhz but first i'll see how it goes just upping the vcore to 1.45v.. so far it's done 1 hour n 38min, without errors.

back to this question, world using my cam on skype while running prime95 make it crash? if not then maybe the cpu is slowly dieing?

I think that since you've upped the freq. of your memory you'll need to increase the CPU-NB a bit to compensate for the stress on the IMC. I am using 1.35V

:D

all my systems have been amd/ati, i've owned about 17+ ;)

Firstly, I'm younger than you lol.
And I was only talking Phenom II's :p

Boy A gets a Phenom II which can do 3.8GHZ on 1.4v.
Boy B gets a Phenom II which can do 3.8GHZ on 1.425v.

1.) The CPU's can't be compared to say "Mine does X at X"
2.) The C3's IMC is better than the C2's, though I agree, CPU NB voltage increase could help.
