AMD RDNA™ 4 and RX 9000 Series Reveal - Live Chat [1pm UK time]

Huh, they priced it aggressively, but I'll wait for the UK prices and see how much worse it is compared to US prices.

I'm not sure if 9070 is worth getting over the XT variant if it's not that much cheaper.

I'm tempted at 599 pending proper reviews. Not an instant buy as I've got an expensive March coming up but will check back in a couple of months to see where prices are at once the dust settles. Not an immediate no though - dare I say it's a tentative successful launch?

the proof will be in if you can actually buy @ 599 and the performance is real

The 9070 XT having 5070 Ti like raster performance for 600 would be great, what with the former's lack of availability and actual pricing in reality.

FSR4 I have no doubt will be at least DLSS 3 like. Shame NVidia has really got their claws into Cyberpunk 2077, still blocking FSR 3.1 from being implemented last time I checked and therefore FSR4.

No mention of any plans to bring FSR4 in some form to RDNA3. Though with the lack of titles supporting it and FSR 3.1, I suppose there's no rush (personally not caring much for some of the recent badly optimised games and am playing older titles at native).

The 9070 for 550 makes no sense, unless everything including the 9070 XT is short of stock / being scalped, and it's the only thing around that's going to be both RRP and available. Otherwise would expect it drop in price like the mispriced 7900 XT had to shortly after launch.

Overall looks like very good news from AMD, and the first launch announcement in a long-time that doesn't appear to have been overhyped beforehand.

Seems reasonable, if they arent unobtanium they might actually sell well. Since some stores have had them since dec/jan should have been able to build up some stock.

This ^^ 100%

The RRP May be 600 but what will retailers actually price it at. The 5070 Ti RRP is under 800, how many of them have we seen!? :p
I guess that's more of a demand thing with stock shortages of the nvidia cards. I don't remember the 7900XTX or 7900XT flying off the shelf other than the Sapphire Nitro cards.

ISTM that these cards are massively overpriced and AMD are making the mistake about which Gamers Nexus warned. These cards should be £hundreds cheaper. These cards are apparently only mildly faster than a RTX 3080 - or about the level of a putative RTX 5060.

Put the RX 7600 at £199, the 9070 at £299, and the XT at £399.

eh?

The 9070XT is the same speed in raster as the 5070ti (and therefore by extension the 4080 and 7900xtx).

And so what? AMD needs to get people to buy these cards and build market share. They need to be significantly cheaper than Nvidia’s cards.

There currently $150 cheaper then Nvidia fake MSRP, maybe wait until March 6th before completely writing them off
