AMD recommends using Nvidias FXAA for BF3

Never mind, easily done. :)

The other day when crossing the road I suddenly didn't know where I was or what I was doing, now that really is a case of 'oops'. :D

If nVidia sponsored Battlefield 3 then I wouldn't be surprised to find a patch disabling this, much like they forced games to stop using DX10.1 when they didn't support it.

Ok so do we have a guide on setting this up yet? a little confusing do we need to install any drivers to get this to work or simply will this be in the video settings in game?

In Battlefield 3 you just turn on post antialiasing in the options menu and leave deferred antialiasing off. That's really all there is to it. You don't need to install any drivers or do anything else.

There's no point using the downloadable FXAA, it's built into Battlefield 3 and that is actually what the post-process antialiasing is. It costs almost nothing to enable.

Basically a genius engineer at the Nvidia offices created FXAA and he's passed it on openly. It's easily the best graphics innovation of the last ten years and has basically eliminated jaggies forever. It has zero impact on modern hardware. You will find more and more of the big games out there with FXAA as an option. I know that Diablo 3, Deus Ex:HR, Battlefield 3 all offer it from their graphics menus for example.
