AMD Ryzen 3700x stock cpu core voltage very high

Have you had issues when hwinfo is up? I heard it can cause issues with ryzens sometimes tho not sure to the degree your having. Just was thinking try not monitoring with monitoring apps like hwinfo and do you still get issues?

Is that the one below? can you tell me what to input problem size? memory (MiB)? Run how many times?

here is link to latest version for amd:

you leave problem size as it is and increase ram size to take up free ram available. in your screenshot select the 12gig ram option that be fine, problemsize will change according to ram size. 20 run passes is a good starting point.

When I put D.O.C.P enabled and all the rest on auto default. Fclk @ 1800mhz and ram speed 3600mhz (DOCP) with voltage 1.350v with Timing 18-22-22-22-42-83 1T (report in bios) I can see windows hardware errors (WHEA) shoot up to 36 errors within 5 minutes while the pc on idle it shutdown itself and turn back on itself.

When I put D.O.C.P disabled and all the rest on auto default. Fclk @ 1333mhz and ram speed 2666mhz (stock) with voltage 1.200v with Timing 18-18-18-18-43-61 1T (report in bios) I can see windows hardware errors (WHEA) has ZERO within 10 minutes while the PC on idle and no shutdown issues so far.

How odd is this? Hope it stable now!

That is odd. I'm guessing there's some timing value causing problems at 3600, but going up to 3666 puts it right again? Could be the DOCP profile that isn't playing properly.
It's possible to try entering the timings manually to get 3600 stable, but I know you don't really want to do that and I get it.
Heck, if it's working fine at 3666, step away and don't touch it! :D

Oh great! Not a great start! All on auto default, ram at stock speed.

Computer: PC
Description:
A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Unknown Error Source
Error Type: No Error
Processor APIC ID: 0

It's keep doing this as got 14 errors then pc shutdown itself. I am fed up now, upset and feel like throwing pc system in the bin! feel very annoying now. Look like I wasted £980 throw in the drain.

Wish I never upgraded to AMD, but should have upgraded to Intel 10700K. I regret now.:mad:
Contact AMD to arrange an RMA detailing the errors and shutdown and they send you out a new cpu.

Yes I think the profile DOCP are wrong timing possible could be eg: 18-22-22-22-42-83 1T (wrong) might be correct one are: 18-22-22-22-42-84 1T (83 to 84)?

Yeah, that sort of thing, just a number that disagrees with something else...
You can either go Manual (not as hard as you think) or just leave it where it is, as long as it keeps behaving itself. 3666 ain't bad going!

Well that's it. The CPU are going back to overclocker or AMD for replacement! The pc has shutdown again with error after idle for 1 hour and 40 minutes! Very disapppointed can't believe how could AMD sent faulty CPU Retail Box?

I have decided to send both AMD motherboard and cpu back to overclockers for a full refunded. Not happy with AMD. Will buy Intel motherboard and cpu (10700K) with msi mag Z490 Tomahawk for intel socket 1200

Yes I am unlucky guy but don't understand why isn't AMD do processor diagnostic tool software just like Intel processor diagnostic tool did?

I just read this thread as it sound like much similiar to mine here: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/whea-logger-event-19-errors-on-3900x.274510/ and this one as well https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/k0a3z8/ryzen_5_5600x_whealogger_event_19/ and other one here: https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...orrected-hardware-error-has-occurred.3680745/

Dear ASUS Customer,

Thank you for contacting ASUS Support.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

My name is Ivo and it would be my pleasure to assist you today in the best way I can.

I understand that you do have an issue with the device.

What I can offer you to do is to take the power plug out off the power supply, then press and hold the power button on the computer for about 20 seconds.

After that you can do a quick CMOS reset.

We have a really good guide on our website that should be able to help you with that.

Please see it here - https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1040820/

After this go into the BIOS > Advanced Menu > APM Configuration, from here set the ERP Ready to Enabled S4 + S5 or Enabled S5 and set the Restore AC Power Loss to Last State and test the motherboard again.

If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
Ivelin_V

Did try this, pc shutdown again itself after few minutes on idle. I will sent CPU back to overclockers to get it replaced. As overclockers told me they will not refunded for both cpu and motherboard to exchange to Intel. But they will replaced cpu only.

2 slots on the correct slot according motherboard manual. The first ram is in slot A2 and second ram is in slot B2

Ok fair enough. I used to have a similar problem with my 3700X and in the end I think it was a bios update that fixed it. that was on an asus x470 board but have since replaced it with a x570 strix and its been rocksolid. I assume you are on the latest bios ? alos for soem reason you must use the standard unzipper for bioses not something like 7zip, this has given me issues in the past.

also some options to try from here
