AMD Ryzen 3700x stock cpu core voltage very high

Ok sounds like RMA time then, hope you have some luck. they really are great CPU's although I guess your opinion is somewhat marred. Cant help but feel its still memory related somehow :-S

Worth a shot, I would give them a ring. they are usually very helpful.
I can't phone as I am deaf. Only way is private message via overclockers customer support

https://community.amd.com/t5/processors/ryzen-3700x-random-freezes-bsods-at-idle/td-p/367562 - this one - Wish I knew this before purchase AMD Parts. Biggest regret ever! I should have gone to Intel 10700K with intel motherboard. But I was upsets as overclockers say no you can't have full refund back for both cpu and motherboard. Only can replaced faulty cpu as part of RMA policy.

As much as I understand your frustration, I have had very bad experiences with intel in the past. At one point I replaced all the parts on a PC to fix random restarts, was a good 15 years ago but it does happen. same with a sandybridge CPU its just part and parcel of building PC's. Swings and roundabouts I know and its based on your experiences. However we have two Ryzen PC's in the house and a few intel and I really love the Ryzens :-)

Right what I did today so far is:

Manual bios to 3600Mhz flck 1800Mhz all on auto timing. DOCP disabled. Boot to windows few minutes on idle pc shutdown. WHEA error pop up 1 error
Manual bios to 2666Mhz flck 1333Mhz all on auto timing. DOCP disabled. Boot to windows 10 minutes on idle pc shutdown. WHEA error pop up 23 errors
Auto bios to all of it on auto default with auto timing. DOCP disabled. Boot to windows and no issues on idle no more shutdown for 2 hours 41 minutes with no error on WHEA

Overclockers support tech told me I never do any overclock on the pc system for totally stable pc.

Well dunno, if you want to try its up to you or see if anyone else says try it. I just wondered if it could be the power getting to the cpu was iffy somehow, probs unlikely but if its whea errors ive noticed they can be power related but usually cos something overclocked wasnt quite right.

Also curious, is this a new system if so did you do a fresh install of os for whatever your using or using a old os on a hdd from past computer?

BINGO!

PC are now stable with DOCP enabled with 3600Mhz ram clock speed with fclk 1800MHz. Reason: Power switch was wrong way  (other way round) at the bottom on the main board and power connector was not plugged in correctly ATX 24 pins.:o WHEA error ZERO so far and no pc shudown on idle! But, too early to call yet. 12 minutes so far.

Before: when I turn on power on top of the case the pc didn't come on after 5 seconds seem rather odd for month. After: Now I can turn on power on top of the case instant (no more 5 seconds wait)

Still zero no WHEA errors so far. I think it does fixed now. Mean nothing wrong with the processor. But still too early to say until next 24 hours to see if it stable. Already running cinebench R23 multi cores go up 12520 pts with docp memory speed 3600mhz fclk 1800mhz timing at 18-22-22-42-83-630-1T.

I did notice other one Ryzen master software monitoring sleep mode has disappeared. It's use to be on sleep mode

Great news. Fingers crossed mate. I know how annoying it can be when a cable is not seated correctly or in the wrong way.

No issues so far :) my best mate told me off how could you got the wrong way on power switch!:D Learn my lesson! Cos I haven't build pc for almost 13 years! I have to inbox overclockers to cancel RMA for cpu return

If C-states are disabled then the processor won't hit idle clocks which could be why you are now seeing stability. (at least that is my understanding) I would want to be sure here as the CPU can still be returned.

in ryzen master do you see the cores hitting the correct clocks at idle ? also hwinfo used to have a bug which caused Ryzen to crash. This was a while ago but I would keep this in mind.
