AMD RYZEN 5000 SERIES 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X NOW ONLINE AT OcUK!!

just curious, will these get delivered for the weekend lol if we get our hands on one Thursday. ;)

Yeh the fact these cpus can be grabbed from said competitor for a lower price even when missing out on the free delivery I get here doesn't reflect well on OcUK :(

Competitor is selling 5900x and 5950x way less than OC.
Looks like OC are greedy

They are not for sale or preorder yet are they? Until they are ready to be bought it's just placeholder costs.
Some shops will over estimate, some will under. Until it's being sold at that price you have no idea if that's how it's going to be.

Since release day now coincides with lockdown and as the demand was already high I wouldn't be supprised if prices rise by quite a bit.

Well it was on 749.99 since AMD announced Ryzen 5000 series but why did OC increase the price this week?
Only explanation is that they know supply wont meet then demand and increased the price to make money and rip all of us off

That is one explanation, but it's certainly not the only one like you claim.

I would guess supply issues as the 12 core was out of stock for quite a while after zen 2 launched and the 3950X wasn't even released till 5 months later and then it was 7 months before stock levels were any good.

It's a bit ridiculous when an online only retailer is more expensive than one of the most expensive high margin retailers on the high street which also has 12 months interest free thrown in.
