great, so hopefull this time, couldnt get a 3080 even after creating my own bot, hopefull AMD pull through so I get have my second pc as a full AMD build

Thats my biggest fear tbh, because expectations is one thing - reality is another.
I hope AMD in general have sorted way more supply than the 3080s had

I just wanted the best at the time, which wasn’t all that long ago (3900X Launch day).
Then the 3950X came along, then the XT versions.
Mainly used for gaming. A lot of the time I have the extra cores shut down in Ryzen Master.Hoping to change out my Vega 64 LC when 6800XT/6900XT drops.
SAM and less latency but real world difference?..

I am tempted by a system update but then I look at the cost and whether I actually need one as my 8700k is still pretty good, even if I went for a 5600x I`d be looking at £500 (CPU + Motherboard) or so plus a 6800xt on top so over £1000. Okay I'd probably get back about £300-£500 from my old kit it sounds a lot of money.

Looking at another retailers site shows currently 833 other people viewing the 5950x!
Hope I can nab one. Decided to do a new build back in early August and ended up holding off for first the 30 series cards (no joy), and then held off til now for today's launch.
My poor F5 key, even he's not having a good 2020! Fingers at the ready!

Sitting here waiting on my day off hopefully i can get one from somewhere, using a 2600X as a temp CPU, upgrading from a 1950X.

Will be my first time going team red. I'm upgrading from a i7 3770 chip and a Z77 mobo, to a 5950x chip and a Crosshair VIII Hero mobo.
The difference will be quite literally night and day!
