Is a hyper 212 evo cooler good enough for 5800x3d? It's the cooler I currently have.
Should be ok..

The 5800X3D is quite hot as standard. But almost everyone runs CO of at least -20 which makes it loads cooler.
I've ordered it, does it run hotter than a 3700x?
I did end up doing the above and tuning the secondary timings. Haven't noticed any change in games but general windows use does feel somewhat snappier. Not as snappy as my 5900x was in alt tabbing through programs mind you, I did have to lower flck and ram to 3733mhz from 3800mhz it was on 5900x, all other timings remained the same, but I don't think that's the issueAgree with Warsul. However if it is stable I would push your memory frequency as higher as it will go and the latency as low as it will go, so long as it is stable.
Tried and failed. Even with tiny increases. Don’t know if it has anything to do with 4 sticks of ram. Your mileage will vary.Anyone tried bclk overclocking this chip? worth it?
Afaik it's locked down. Better to just undervolt slightly.Anyone tried bclk overclocking this chip? worth it?

Yep, I have mine running at 4.65Ghz SC up from 4.55Guz SC and same for MT but 4.55Ghz up from 4.45Ghz. 102.025 BCLK. Gaming temps 45c to low 60s 60s (60s is worst case) depending on game. 360 Arctic II, Liquid Metal.Anyone tried bclk overclocking this chip? worth it?
run without, stress test/benchmark, note temps freq in an app like hwinfoHow can I tell if it's taking effect, I didn't expect -20 to work fine the video I looked at said -10 is usually more common.
Maybe I'll try -40 if it crashes I know it's doing something.

Also, PBOtuner2 says already applied if you try to apply the same values twice.
You can input -40 but it'll ignore it and apply -30 as that's supposedly the limit. -30 seems to be work quite well for the 5800X3D but YMMV of course. Test it with Cinebench R23 (good for testing and you should see higher peak clocks) - OCCT is also good for CPU testing. How can I tell if it's taking effect, I didn't expect -20 to work fine the video I looked at said -10 is usually more common.
