Just ordered a 5700x3d for £161 from a place that's got an offer on for a couple of days. Seemed too good to pass up, will be a decent upgrade from my 3600x.

With various credit card discounts, it'll end up about £155

It's a solid deal from a 'reputable' place. I got mine from overseas for less (after a long wait) but, if this had been a deal at the time, I'd have gone for it as well. You should notice a decent improvement

went for a 5700x3D too - worked out with 64gb of RAM vs was about £140 (30%) cheaper than equivalent 7700x build with 32gb

I've been making do with a Xeon 1225v3 for last year gaming with the 3060Ti - and I only game at 60hz so will be plenty quick enough I think

I'll be doing the same but I'm tempted to get a 5090 when it releases. Hopefully it won't be held back by the 5800X3D

i would thank it would be help back. but that would all depend on the resolution.
TBF the 5090 is expected to be an insane price, compared to the 4090 that's 2k

That is just crazy pricing, they are rinsing the enthusiasts for as much as they can squeeze.

Thought they were mainly already bought up by the big cloud players, pretty much all "normal" businesses will only get access via a third party I'd imagine.
