SP rating does not matter too much. Don’t worry about it. Some very good chips are 111 for example and some very bad ones are 120.
Cheers! To be honest I didn't even notice it before.

How are you testing stability for Curve Optimiser?So..
Core Clock + 200MHZ
PBO Negative -20
PBO Enhancement 80C
And doing a Cinebench run it's maxing out at 81C, with average of 5300-5400mhz
Games are around 50-65C
Sound about right?

Looks good to me. You could always try -30 and test of course.
It’s always best to try some tests at different loads like Aida stress test, OCCT SSE, AVX, AVX2 just to be sure.I did a full cinebench and played around 4 rounds of Warzone..
Seems fine at -22 PBO
I'll try -25 next, on my 7800X3D -20 was the limit![]()

What are you scoring in Cinebench R23?
Nothing wrong there.23686
Nothing wrong there.
You’ve gained a little performance from your initial run which is good.New Settings as -25 was unstable

Think I'll leave it there![]()
I wouldn't be doing that. Enjoy your 7800x3d and wait for Zen 6 now it's confirmed to be on AM5, that's what I am doing.Worth going from a 7800X3D to a 9800X3D ? Mainly gaming ? 10% improvement on stock ?

Depends. What resolution do you game at ? If it's 4K you'll be GPU bound in most games and will see marginal difference in performance. At lower resolutions the difference is more noticeable, and there are some games that are more CPU bound eg. Flight Sim, Factorio, Satisfactory where you will see a clear uplift in performance.Worth going from a 7800X3D to a 9800X3D ? Mainly gaming ? 10% improvement on stock ?

Could you list exactly what settings you changed in the bios?I got my 9800x3d yesterday, along with the build in my sig. I have been testing the undervolt but it doesn't make any difference to my temps in Cinebench. I started with -10, then -15 and now -20 and the temps are actually getting higher during testing (for both cpu and gpu). Only by 1-2 degrees, but that seems the opposite of what should happen?
Scores haven't really changed, in fact -10 was a slightly better score than -15 and -20. Edit - just ran -20 again and that is slightly higher than the stock and -10 score.
Only things I changed in BIOS were the voltages, no OC.

I wouldn’t worry about the idle temps, that is normal.I went into the AMD Overclocking setting and switched the PBO setting to 'Advanced'. Then went to the curve shaper and switched that to 'negative' and then the -10/-15/-20. Only other change I had made was switching RAM to Expo.
I have read about OC with +200 but haven't played around with that yet.
It seems stable but I thought the temps would decrease in Cinebench, or would I only see the reductions in gaming? Continues to idle around 40 whatever I change it to.
