AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

"X3d turbo mode" I just a One click button that enables expo profile plus disables one ccd if it's a dual ccd chip and disable smt, Gigabyte says this gives best performance and you should only use this when gaming

This sounds pretty good if it can be turned on and off as needed in Windows (or whatever OS)

Not sure why people are hyping themselves for this to be such a departure from the 7800X3D. At best you'll get a general 10% improvement imo, but nothing shocking beyond that. Even in terms of value it's not going to be great since it will simply be the best gaming CPU and that will command a premium. Certainly won't come close to the deals the 7800X3D had just a month or two ago, but alas those have dried up now. Plus when it comes to OCing Ryzen-anything it's been a copium since pretty much the Zen 1 days (and really it was the only Zen for which true OCing made any significant difference).
Benchmarks not gaming but still a good increase apparently.
"...outperforms the Ryzen 7 7800X3D by up to 25%."

I keep hearing the 9800X3D being the next amazing thing so I'm watching. I have a 3900X and I don't think it's old and over the hill but it is 5 years old. Need to keep my fingers in my pockets..
Honestly almost anything is going to seem night and day compared with that and I know I had one even moving to a 5900 was a good kick in the pants

Looking to change up from an 7600x to either a 7800X3D or 9800X3D. I have a feeling it's going to be a 7800X3D as I dare say the performance is going to be minor compared to the 9800X3D.

Fingers crossed for a sub £300 on a 7800X3D for BF.
