So the $ msrp price is the £ as well. Jesus when did that happen! Suppose that is brexit. When will 6 core CPUs arrive gibbo? Price for 8 is a bit too high.
 
1700 looks like the best bang for buck depending on how it overclocks it'll be the one I get, unless the 1800x manages 4.5 Ghz easily. Waiting for reviews is so annoying :(

something like an oc formula or an apex or soc force/ soc champoin. i have ordered a asus prime x370 pro and 1800x for now :) I want to learn the platform a bit from day 1. I will get a better one late march, before ln2 arrives sometime in april :D hopefully the bios's for boards and the choice will be a little better by then as well and i would probably buy some b die ram as well. I also organised my new mounts for my coolers yesterday and today as well so hopefully they will be here in time :)
 
Great, Intel possibly have some competition at last.

If these CPUs were known to be much better/cheaper than Intel's, then it might be worth pre-ordering. As far as I can tell it is not known exactly how well these CPUs perform yet, so pre-ordering seems to be a bit of a gamble.

Am I missing something, Those specs won't put it in the same league as an Intel i7 chip!. Why do AMD enthusiasts go in denial every time.

I take it you've not watched any of the videos today regarding the performance in cinebench, handbrake, gaming, streaming etc?

These are going up more against the 6800k, 6900k and have shown them out performing them both for significantly less money.

If IPC is on par with Broadwell how the hell is it not in the same league as a i7? I'd take one of these over a 5820k or 6800k, if they perform how they are hyped too.
