AMD RYZEN 9950X3D / 9900X3D IN STOCK & AVAILABLE FROM 1PM TOMORROW !!

9900X3D is a really tough sell at that price. The 9800X3D is a better gaming chip and the 9950X3D isn't much more for the productivity side.

Nobody really needs more than a 9800X3D for gaming and yep I agree the 9900X3D makes little sense.
9950X3D is a monster but its more a productivity/creators part who don't wish to pay professional prices. :)

I'd just wait what I did about my xeon 5670, get it when it's cheap. upgrade from i7 950 to 5670. So get a last gen Am5 when I find my 7700 is too slow, and a 64 core, 128 hyper thread, X3D zen10 am5 is out and affordable.

I had been waiting for the 9900x3d,
Gaming, the newest game I have I believe is far cry 5, so the less cores wouldn't probably wouldn't bother me. However I do plan on buying some newer games once I have the ability to play them.
My main usage is some freelance web development when I need some extra pocket money and photo editing in light room.
Decided to just go the full on and get the 9950x3d

so is this gonna be a clusterf**** like the 5090 release?

double digit numbers and website crashing, scalpers scalping and a que to wait for months on end?

having a 2nd look vids say if your gaming only then not to get a 9950X3D

I mean it would be better to get a 9900X3D over the 9950X? the ryzen 7 9800X3d might not go well with a 5090 right, stick to Ryzen 9 CPUs?

depends on your use case

- gaming 9800x3d
- production 9950x
- mix of both 9950x3d
- bit of both but want to save £100 and have a bit less gaming oomph 9900x3d
