** AMD SHOP EVENT: THE DEALS MENU!! **

Cmon Gibbo!!!! Bring some forum only deals. A little unfair for people that live far away:(

Its not unfair at all, we do forum deals on a weekly basis, maybe not as crazy but this is our second shop event, the first was nearly two years ago, so in comparison its not unfair at all.

We can't sell product hugely below cost online also, manufacturers won't support such activity online as it gets seen worldwide, so the truly crazy stuff can only be done in-store due to the losses involved. To do these prices and deals has cost AMD and their partners to the tune of around £15,000 - £20,000.
That is why such crazy stuff can't happen online, the cost would be millions as everyone worldwide would want to do it.

Some of the savings are huge, even on the lower-end stuff! :)

I totally understand where your coming from, only 1% can really attend this in store only deal....., but it would be good for everyone not just the in store only deals for people that can make it, but for forums users to feel that their part of this whole event also.

Hence why some of the deals are online, so they are part of the event. :)

lol The deals could be better though....You have to make everyone go WOW!

That is not possible, because not everyone will want the same product. Unless you do something that makes you go bust like sell an FX-8350 for say £1 ;)

Some people will be very happy about a Samsung 4k monitor at £439.99, certainly would make me go wow, as does an AMD R7 265 at £79.99, you'd get more on Ebay potentially for both. :)

Also for an online deal this is pretty wow, judging by the fact were selling 30-40 units a day I think most people are going wow:-

lol

Thanks mate. Not into any of those but cheers:)

Now the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q G-Sync 144Hz @£499 would make me go WOW!!:D

Well seems they are very popular at the very high price they are, I doubt they will ever hit sub £600 as if VESA FREESYNC does come in the future then this could be a short lived product which will mean it will always be in short supply and at high price.

lol The deals could be better though....You have to make everyone go WOW!

we dont have to do anything

the event is supported as gibbo mentioned, the online deals are there week in, week out and we are doing them over this weekend also for people who dont want to travel to the shop AND the people who do attend the event

you'd soon have your back up if we stopped doing deals all together.

I am speaking to a person who is taking three trains and a bus to get here for this event on my skype, there are people travelling from all over the country and the event is open to everyone.

if you want epic deals, we have them, in the shop. make the effort to come and get them.

I am so disappoint! :(

Sulks in corner! :(

I would love to come, but I have a 4 year old to look after also. I'm not some nerd sitting on my PC 24 hours a day, I have a wife and child and just can't drop everything for this event. Even though I would love too;) I'm sure many others on the forums are like me.
