AMD Six Core Prices and Clock Speeds Unearthed

Then you're in the minority.

Every CPU i've ever had the VID changes if I change the voltage in BIOS, only shows the correct VID if it is at stock.
it depends on the motherboard, not cpu... some motherboards up's the voltages using the vid's settings.

My vid shows orrect.

if i use amd overdrive , i can up the vid's voltages...

Anywho, point being, take that VID with a pinch of salt as it could just be reading the OC'd voltage.

Now give me my 1090T damn it

The best comparison between CPUs in an actual benchmark. lol @ superpi.

Can I ask why theres like loads of other threads for the same thing - surely the title of this thread covers all the questions raised in the other threads. Maybe someone has a problem grasping english.....hint hint to the other thread starters ;)

Is there any actually official word on when the NDA is up on these X6's? Surely with them being leaked onto the market we can't be that far away from official reviews...

If they can be bought in Asia then someone will always buy and ship, it's just anticipation getting to people :)

If I knew where to buy one in asia I'd buy it and ship it over myself if I had to :)

Dying to get my hands on a 1090T....

Basically, these can make AMD look competitve with Bloomfield as the extra cores make up for the IPC defficiency.

Until Intel releases a cheap hex core things will be pretty competitive. Intel will make huge profits selling cheap i7s compared to the big and expensive to produce X6s

I will give them motherboard compatibility though, that one is excellent. IT makes it worth buying a good and expenive motherboard if you know it will support future CPUs for a long time.

Hmmm:

AMD's new six-core Phenom II X6 CPUs are expected to show up in retail within weeks and some US retailers have already listed the parts.

One retailer is taking pre-orders for the 1090T, clocked at 3.2GHz, at a rather tempting price of $318, here. Another e-tailer is listing the same chipat $350, but it's also offering the 2.8GHz Phenom II X6 1055T for $240, here.

We're expecting the Phenom II X6 to go on sale next month...

So around the price we were expecting, but not released until next month? WHAT?! What happened to all the 19th talk, or at the latest 26th?!:(

Norwegian retailer ships Thuban six-cores

A Norwegian retailer has jumped the gun and started shipping AMD Phenom II X6 processors.

xxxxxxx.no is currently listing about a dozen 1090T Black Edition parts, here. The price is 2,276 krone, which works out to about €288. Not bad for a 3.2GHz six-core, not bad at all.

The company also has more than a hundred Phenom II X6 1055T processors in stock. These 2.8GHz parts are shipping for €197 which is nothing short of a bargain. You can get them here, at least until AMD kindly asks the retailer to pull them.
