Every CPU i've ever had the VID changes if I change the voltage in BIOS, only shows the correct VID if it is at stock.

I use Core temp... And it reports the vid , as has done for everyone I know of..

it depends on the motherboard, not cpu... some motherboards up's the voltages using the vid's settings.

My vid shows orrect.

if i use amd overdrive , i can up the vid's voltages...

Anywho, point being, take that VID with a pinch of salt as it could just be reading the OC'd voltage.

Basically, these can make AMD look competitve with Bloomfield as the extra cores make up for the IPC defficiency.

Until Intel releases a cheap hex core things will be pretty competitive. Intel will make huge profits selling cheap i7s compared to the big and expensive to produce X6s

I will give them motherboard compatibility though, that one is excellent. IT makes it worth buying a good and expenive motherboard if you know it will support future CPUs for a long time.

A Norwegian retailer has jumped the gun and started shipping AMD Phenom II X6 processors.

xxxxxxx.no is currently listing about a dozen 1090T Black Edition parts, here. The price is 2,276 krone, which works out to about €288. Not bad for a 3.2GHz six-core, not bad at all.

The company also has more than a hundred Phenom II X6 1055T processors in stock. These 2.8GHz parts are shipping for €197 which is nothing short of a bargain. You can get them here, at least until AMD kindly asks the retailer to pull them.
