AMD to Celebrate 30 Years of Graphics: Webcast and new product reveal.

It will certainly be interesting to see, I just hope he doesn't play the I'm working for AMD now so they are the best and everyone else is crap card. If he is honest and forthright about it all it could be a very interesting webcast, certainly one to watch.

Also just a little confused as to why if they are celebrating 30 years from 1985, then isn't this webcast a good few months too early.:p:D:p

Do you also get confused when EA release FIFA etc a few months before the end of the year?

Yeah I agree with that, but then I suppose he has to play it up to AMD as they are currently employing him lol.

I think we will see the launch of Tonga at the event and details on the next gen stuff for 2015, so the 1985 > 2015 '30 years' would make sense. I'll be glad if stuff gets announced at least as a lot of us are waiting on 20nm, or at least know when 20nm is going to appear so know if it's worth investing in 28nm at this point..

It says 'Celebrating 30 Years of Graphics Innovation: The Evolution of AMD Radeon GPU's'

That means the header is 'Celebrating 30 Years of Graphics Innovation' and they will also talk about the The Evolution of AMD Radeon GPU's, as AMD Radeon GPU's are the ones currently being worked on, so it's the evolution of those GPU's, hopefully will get a lot of info on upcoming AMD Radeon GPU's.

I find it really strange that people get weird about the simplest of things, it's all about the context, AMD aren't doing anything wrong here, just going to announce new product and Richard Huddy (A guy who has been involved in graphics for years and years, will likely talk about Graphics history and where it's going in the future.

Seriously people take off your tin foil hats :D

It's even labeled ATI on the AMD pics, omg some people are just to weird...

+1, this is a lol thread....

No not generally because Fifa 15 may be launching on September 23rd but it will be available all next year as well, unlike a LIVE webcast which once its done its done.
I know we can have the 71 year celebration of D-Day in December 2014 to celebrate June 6 1944.

The webcast will technically be available to watch all next year too tbf :D Look we know it's not 30 years this year but who really cares? If it's a showcase for new tech which will launch in 2015 then it's all good.

Surely nobody wants to remember or celebrate the first 20 or so years.

Rage3D I'm looking at you... The worlds first 3D decelerator.

lol it won't be SSDs, they've already been announced and I doubt they'll be drawing much more attention to them. They're more of a marketing ploy for distributors to offer more to their bundles and won't be a continuous line. SSD market is very consolidated
