My Ryzen kit is in tried old Agesa code and 15 Ryzen boards including some b350 all working 2x8 GB 3200Mhz c14.

New Agesa code even 4x8 3200Mhz working no issues and 3466 2x8gb 3466+ working. This kit using special spd I developed for Ryzen along with Samsung b die IC high bin....

My F4-3200C16D-16GTZR runs fine at the correct speed after the latest bios update.

Anyone know if it would be better to get a 2x16 Trident Z at 3200 C14, or 3600 C17?

Negligible price difference so would prefer the one that's most likely to "just work"

(Yes I really do want, and will fully use, 2x16gb.)

They are most likely the exact same kit, just with different XMP profiles.

That possibility has occurred to me, tbh, but I'm not sure the maths of 3600 C17 equals 3200 C14...

I guess the other question is whether there will be further bios updates that make 3600 a viable option for Ryzen.

It's Hynix and I cannot either

I have the Hynix version as well, it is single sided but at most will hit 3066 fine with the occasional boot failure in BIOS defaulting down to 2133 then.
