No doubt about what you get for the price but still I'd rather be able to fit something like a K2 than have 2133 RAM on a CPU which wont fully utilise it.

better but cost more, mine quoted does the job, have it myself and will do a good job unless you go to the max, and if you do the K2 wouldn't be my choice either or mine that i picked it would be liquid and cost even more, for most normal OC either would be fine, max needs liquid to get the extra power and keeping it cool

Not a bad CPU by any stretch, but not the better gamer.
But since OP's needs aren't gaming, AMD's FX8320 is a good shout.

Zakblood thanks for your spec, i have been back and forth looking a pre builds and self builds and have decided to increase my buget to 1k but i want a 24 monitor .The thing is with a pre build you get 2 yrs return to base and the machine ready to go and should be set up overclocked and built by a competent person so what i need to know is how much will i save building my self £50,£100?) .

you can save quite a bit with a self build, with mine i think it was something in the region of £200 cheaper for an £800 build than the equivalent spec prebuilt. building it aint too difficult if you're at all handy.

admittedly then you can kiss your warrenties goodbye if/when you overclock it. i'm just sticking with everything on stock atm because stock speeds does what i need. that and the fact i havent got the cooling to go any hotter. edit: also remember individual warrenties can be longer than 2yrs.
