Bloody hell internet police, you stalking him or something?

Lol
He posted he been on the amd reddit for someone with such hate towards amd I find it really strange why even bother going onto that subreddit.
All my information is from this fourm, I post more inside the amd threads so I see what's going on.

yeah, it is basically a FuryX architecture with 50% higher clocks but the same memory bandwidth (if we assume AMD can source 2.0Gbps GM chips). This has been known for some time. I guess the real question is how much have the new GCN cores improved.

If they are indeed running at 1500Mhz+ and the NCU's have a rough increase of 10% over the last GCN units then it should be a tasty upgrade (for Fury/X owners).

Not the AMD Reddit, the AMD_Stock reddit.

I never found that image there, and when I asked for a link he ignored me :(
I really wanted to see how the commented reacted to that image.

Not enough! We need moar!

Plus AMD has a habit of clocking their Professional parts lower than their gaming variants; and the Instinct MI25 is 12.5TFLOPS at 1525Mhz.

One would hope Big Vega can run higher than that.

Hell a Fury X at 1450Mhz is already at GTX 1080 numbers in Firestrike. So I would hope Vega can do better at 1500Mhz plus.

Especially considering it's Die size on 14nm compared to Fiji.

The Vega die is much smaller than the FuryX and much more of the die area is going to be dedicated to new functionality, architectural improvements to increase efficiency but also fp64 math. Fiji and Polaris don' have support for double precision bu the MI25 does and its not likely AMD have separated their professional compute cards form their consumer gaming. Of course the idea behind msot of these changes is to improve real-world performance given the same theoretical performance so losing die space to hardware that makes things run faster is no bad thing but makes predictions harder.

So yeah, somewhere just north of 1080 performance looks realistic if they can hit the clocks.

Do you have any links to MI25 supporting FP64 above 1/16? I haven't found any on that.
Everything about the MI25 just showcases FP16 performance at 2:1 FP32.

Also sounds like (from what we've seen & heard so far) that this will be a maturing technology, with benefits to come down the road (which is testament to what AMD generally do). So even if it just hits 1080 performance (or just above) then at least their will be more performance to come. Thing is, are consumers going to go for it or want it right here right now. That's the billion dollar question...
