AMD will live stream its 6th Jan CES 2020 press conference

CES 2019 was disappointing for Zen 2 news, so I'm not expecting much on Zen 3.
But it's about time AMD gave us a top end GFX card that can take on the 2080ti at a lower price point.

desperately need AMD to come through on 2080ti competitor but I wonder if we would see 2080ti super being released.

My money is on RX 5500/5600 news with a big emphasis on perf/watt and frames per dollar etc and a few bits on Zen 3. I doubt it will be anything major.
 
Some predictions:

-Will probably go over how well Zen2 has been doing in sales numbers etc..
-Zen3 will be mentioned, but no major announcements for it - Just that its in the works and coming soon.
-Announce the 3980x perhaps?
-Going to be a lot about the next gen graphics cards
 
I would think the 48 and 64 threadrippers need some highlighting, a teaser of the zen3 as they did last year but they would be stupid to release lots of info considering that zen 2 and especially 3950x came out very recently.

I would want to see also a new beastly gpu, nvidia needs competition, 2080ti is stupid money
 
Remember guys don't expect too much from AMD's stream, they are really really dry with this sort of stuff and it's pretty much just some technical details (but it's info all the same!!)

I think a card like that would pull too much power for Nvidia and I don’t AMD have any interest in £1000 plus GPU’s. The Uber end of the graphics card market is tiny and AMDs strategy is growth. I think we’ll see X550, A520 along with a few CPU’s a range of APU’s and lots of mobile stuff.

AMD has officially announced that it will be holding a press conference at CES 2020. The big Las Vegas tech show officially starts on Tuesday 7th January. However, AMD and some other big players traditionally unveil important products, make big announcements, and tease the latest and greatest in tech a day ahead of the show opening its doors to the public. Thus the AMD press conference at CES 2020 is scheduled for Monday, 6th Jan at 2:00 p.m. PST at the Mandalay Bay resort.

2:00 p.m. PST = 10:00 pm UK

Vegas is usually 8 hours behind the UK.
 
any in depth details about Ryzen 4000 series chips would be suicide, especially when the 3000 is selling so well. They want to keep that momentum, not make people think about holding on another 12 months.

Also, anybody wanting a 2080ti competitor are dreaming and if that was to happen people would still kick their toys out of the pram and whinge its too late or should cost no more than a packet of harribo.

Navi 21 is expected to be significantly more powerful than that RTX 2080 Ti. It will make it look like a mid-range card.

Where did you get that from?

From what I heard at best the Navi 21 will only be slightly better than the 2080ti

Hence why it won't be anything too in depth, probably just glance over it and say that they are nearly finished with it
