I know where I WONT be pre ordering from![]()
For real i expected a lower price too. Im expecting the 5800x to be £399 rather a straight exchange rate value of £349

Card availability for customersNvidia got nothing to be worried about imo.
Not in my situation, i own both CPU's.
But I might get the 5950X on release.
So they've finally caught up with (stock) intel for games, and are charging a fat wad more for it?5900X = i9
5600x = i5
5800x probably £50 more than i7 but faster....
i bet you there will be a 5700X SKU that is cheaper...anyway 3000 seris CPU prices wont be dropping much on the back of these.The prices look rubbish. £400 for an 8C CPU.
And yet when Nvidia and intel do it everyone says "well done great" and AMD consistently bring both Nvidia and intel back in line so ya all can shut the F up and suck on it, AMD cant win apparently so sure hike the price imo. *mic dropBit expensive, the guy even said in the presentation that they were cheap to make and they put prices up
It's just you and me I'm afraid.
Everybody else is happy with £400 for the cheapest 8c. The only 8c.
FFS. Ah well. I don't have to buy it![]()

Will be sorted before too long. That navi didn’t look that impressive at all really.Card availability for customers![]()
I don't know a lot, but they were measuring the 5950X against 10900K and showing some fairly modest victories. The 10900K is GBP 559 and they just said the 5950X will be USD 799 so GBP 750 at best. That's not exactly good value then?
