American Coca-Cola

I said I prefer Euro glass bottles to US cans (more in response to the OP's and others' opinions that anything US is better than anything euro, wheras I think the container makes most difference). So...

US (mexico) glass bottles > Euro glass bottles > cans > plastic bottles

No, I said that I've heard it tastes better. I'd like to try it, then I will know for sure which I prefer.

Everything in moderation, studies have shown type 2 diabetes does not come from just having sugary drinks/sweets, people that get it the type 2 diabetes is from being overweight, having a poor diet and not exercising.

I cant see how having a couple of cans a week for most of your life is that detrimental to your health, christ its been on sale for about 150 years.

A lot of people drink a lot more than 2 cans a week, and high fructose corn sugar versions haven't been on sale for 150 years. The point being that overweight americans, invariably you'll see heavy consumption of high fructose corn syrup products in general, but I'd dare say the ones with diabetes are the ones drinking coke/similar sugary drinks all day and is a major part of the reason they are getting fat.

OVerweight doesn't directly lead to diabetes at all, its the way in which you get overweight, too much sugar(mostly) that cause both diabetes and being overweight.

US Glass bottle coke is not the same as Mexican Glass bottled Coke. One has sugar the other HFCS.

So make your mind up, it's either European/Mexican/Canadian or US.

Remember finding US version of Mountain Dew in cans in an Asian shop out of all places oddly. Pretty damn sweet and makes UK version look like lemonade which frankly I think it is.

Soda from glass bottles tastes better because it is better!

So much want :(

Edit*

Already posted? Worth it :p

My girlfriend brought back some peanut butter m&m's from the states the last time she was there - literally the most delicious confectionery of it's type ever.... down to the corn syrup I reckon!

**** Coke is the best I find.

PMSL at this - My local take away stock it it tastes better warm than cold for some reason.

Had one in New York out of a can..... tasted awsome, any of you remember that drink called TAB?
Clear Soda drink that tasted like Coke?

When it first came to the UK it was US imported and was awsome then it was made in the UK for about a year and it tasted different........

Partly must be the water they use as that's different per region nevermind per country.

Eh? My mind is well made up. I'm really not sure what you seem to think this condradiction is in my original post. I simply said I prefer Euro glass bottles to US CANS, and I prefer US glass bottles most of all. Surely that's not a step of logic too far? Where's the confusion? And when I said US bottles I clearly referred to the Mexican produced ones which are widely available in the US. In fact in my (admittedly limited) experience, Mexican glass bottles were much more widely available in the US than US made ones with corn syrup!

Well I know what I prefer, even if you dont understand. :p

Your taste buds are broken!

I can't stand the taste/aftertaste of artificial sweetners. What really bugs me, in fact, is Lilt - despite the continuing (i think) existance of Lilt Zero, normal Lilt has inexpliccably become some sort of half sugar and half artificial sweetener cocktail. This tastes absolutely foul to me so I can no longer drink Lilt which I used to really enjoy. Why have only a diet version full of chemical crap and a half diet version also full of chemical crap? :(:(

I totally agree. Artificial swetened drinks taste Foul, and to make the 'regular' non diet drinks contain them is just fail. It is for this reason, and also looking at the ingredients of, 7UP I can recommened it whole heartedly. 7up tastes like nectar, with NO aftertaste.

To the folk who say artifical sweeteners are fine etc, can you actually eat a sweetening tablet straight out the dispensers?

I used to drink so many cans/bottles of coke. Two through the day at sixthform and then probably one or maybe two when I got home, if we had any in.

Thankfully that's in the past! Havn't had one for at least 2 months now.

Also, I still call it POP Castiel, think I need to get with the times.

I understand that you clearly don't know what you are talking about.

You did it again, you said you prefer US bottles most of all, yet you really mean Mexican ones....

And you're limited experience is wrong....you will find Mexican produced coke in areas with large Hispanic populations but it's only recently that it is finding shop-space in wal-mart etc....

AFAIK Mexican and European Coca-Cola is essentially the same.
