An error occurred during directory enumeration

I keep getting this when I try to install windows xp on a 320GB Seagate sata2. If I put it in another computer it is fine, healthy, 2 partitions, one full with all data readable and OK, chkdsk says it is fine, partition doctor, partition magic, windows disk management.

But when I go to install xp it comes up as one 130GB hardrive with only one partition. The recovery console says:

"An error occurred during directory enumeration"

Any help.

Having looked into this some more, it looks like it's due to Windows XP, you NEED SP2 on your system to detect 300GB and more. Is this true?

SP1 i think.

I have just slipstreamed sp2, I hope this works now.
