London. It's full narrow Victorian streets which really weren't designed for today's automobile. Despite this, I still love driving around here.

But then, with driving in London, or anywhere for that matter, common sense is a pre-requisite.

But it's obvious from the actions of some, this skill, known as "common sense" isn't being used to its full potential.

So today I was stuck in a narrow Victorian street intending to turn left (I am the blue car, with the yellow flashing indicator). And then comes along a green car intending to turn into the road I want to exit from.

Rather than allowing me to leave which he can then proceed to turn into the road I am in, he instead, drives up to my front bumper and forces me to reverse down the street until he can pass by.

Seriously, why?

Shouldn't have reversed. Would have just sat there and had phone ready to record him flip out or watch him move backwards. Some tool's out there on the roads

Been in the same situation, guy was in some sort of Aston and thought he owned the world, i didn't budge and he eventually reversed and let me out while giving me the eye like i was some sort of retard..

Yup, I would not of moved either. Sometimes I do under the premise of "God your retarded, cannot drive and I would rather not wait here all day while you attempt to reverse your tank"

Not down a whole street though, especially at the risk of someone else coming form behind you and all 3 getting stuck halfway down.

4 days a week, twice a day I'm risking being in a similar situation where, even though the obstacles are on my side they only have to reverse about 2 car lengths back to let me through where I have to reverse about 20 car lengths back to let them pass, I just wave my hands telling them to go back 1-2 car lengths now as I refuse to reverse 20 car lengths back when they only have to reverse 2 car lengths back.

Definately wouldn't reverse in that situation. I know what you mean though OP, some people are complete idiots when it comes to common sense on the roads.

At first I didn't reverse. I just didn't move. I asked him to allow me to pass through first. But he wasn't having it. Rather than fight with him, I just moved. Technically, he had the right of way.

He certainly sounds like a knob, I would have just sat there and waited until he moved, maybe if I was feeling really stubborn I'd turn the engine off and put my feet up.
