I have just watched this film for the first time ever, and it was crap.

So overrated, twas funny in a select few parts.
The Fight Scene
the panther scent bit made me laugh
and im sure there is another but i cannot think of it.

i saw people wearing "i love lamp" t shirts after it came out, and i have no idea why? That line wasnt even funny.

Wedding Crashers was much funnier for me!

thats the other bit that made me laugh!

oh and the fight was brilliant only due to the fact that Ben Stiller appeared out of nowhere!

Yeh, it has some great parts, and some boring bits in between. The best being when matt black boots the dog off the bridge, and when his friend spears another guy with a fork :p

I thought Anchorman was a really good film, laughed out loud in places.

Also thought Wedding Crashers was a damn good film.

I hated this first time i saw it, then a few weeks later watched it with a bunch of mates... and i liked it a lot more.

Ron Burgundy: Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch.
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn't it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.
Ron Burgundy: I saw that. Brick killed a guy. Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder

Awesome :D

Awesome :D

Quoted for awesomeness!

I thought it was totally over-rated, and barely funny when it meant to be. I am willing to give it another go if i ever have the time *cough*. I honestly dont see what the big deal is with that film.

Out of the 'stupid-comedy' genres, my favourites have to be Dodgeball ("If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball") and Van Wilder: Party Liaison ("Write that down").

First time I saw it I thought it was ok but nothing special.

Second time I saw it with my friends I loved it.

My brother was the same, he didn't really like it when he first saw it but when he watched it again with some friends he loved it and now quotes some of the lines. Strange film like that really.

Freudian slip for an ex-member here? It was Jack Black. ;)

Anchorman just isn't that funny to me and I have tried watching it a couple of times now, in fact I would use it as evidence that Will Ferrell is not that good a comedy actor, he overacts in everything he has ever been in but not in an amusing way and if a film is funny it is in spite of him. Just looking at his future roles he is going to be in a film called "Semi-Pro", damn I feel ashamed to be associated with him in even the loosest way.

Van Wilder is the last best 'teen' movie :D
