And here she is ......

Panthro where did you take yours to be serviced when you had it ?

I took it to a garage in Newbury called Subaru4U. Bit of a trek but they did a good job on the car. They were about £150 cheaper than a main dealer for the 60k mile service. They also gave the car a good going over to make sure the accident repair centre did a decent job and sorted a few problems out when I stacked it :o
Also they put better spark plugs in (NGK 7's or something) and an STI panel filter (which Subaru dont use as a standard part). You'll need the better spark plugs when getting the car remapped.
When I used them they seemed to have a decent reputation on Scoobynet. They were the closest specialist in the area. The closest main dealer is Subaru Twyford.

NGK PRF7Bs as a guess? Subaru use the PRF6Bs, which are adequate to 350, but getting a little overstretched at 400.

Ok

I shall give them a call today then :)

Car needs a service , what oil /oil filter / spark plugs would you guys buy from opie oils to put in the scoob ?

I use Fuchs Titan in my 200sx which you can get from opie, pretty much the same as silkolene but not as many additives but it is significantly cheaper.

Quick Question -

225/45R17 94Y

225/45R17 91Y

Which would i need ? The current tyres are RE050 and they are 91Y but the guy at camskill said heavier cars generally use 94Y ! What do you guys think ?

What rating are the tyres on the car at the moment? Match them :)

I just ordered a full set of Eagle F1 Assymetrics off an ATS Euromaster near me.

From everything I've read they are great tyres, it was a choice between those and the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas anyway. I don't think you can really go wrong with either.

These were my thoughts, Tom from here reccomended the sessantas but ive allways had Goodyears so really wanted to try the Eagle F1 Assymetrics

Should arrive tomorrow :) Im also thinking of swapping the wheels around so the goodyears are on the back, think i would prefer understeer than oversteer at the moment + its an excuse to wear the re050s down quicker

Ive got a set of vredsteins as well and they are excellent. But i never tried the Eagle F1s like tom to compare.

I guess it all depends on what they feel ike on your car. To know that you'll just have to try them.

I wouldnt if I were you, best to have the best tyres upfront where the steering of the car is taking place. The tyre wear on scoobs is pretty even on all 4 tyres.
