Andrew Lincoln to leave The Walking Dead

I got as far as the season with the prison and gave up. It started to get silly with all the filler and I lost interest.
 
Agree with earlier comment Rick is twd

There hinting he walks away.... so he may just have a long over due break and then come back perhaps.

In some ways it maybe feels maggie should kill rick then negan and then shortly afterwards 5 million zombies flood all the 'safety haven' zones and eat everyone and then anyone that survives moves over to fear the walking dead.

I think I started getting frustrated with it around that time, though I carried on watching for another season or two.

I watched the first two seasons of FTWD on prime and they seem to have a third season now so I might try that, though I suspect it could easily end up going the same way.

FTWD is onto season 4 now which I'm quickly losing interest in - season 3 wasn't too bad, not great but mostly it was fairly good just the odd bit dragging it down unlike season 2 which was mostly terrible with the odd really good bit. Season 4 is doing a lot of the TWD running on the spot, too much time spent with characters taking turns talking to the camera, etc. which gets old fast and is a crutch for real character development or experimental edits and/or mixed timelines which get old quick as well.

ah, thanks for the heads up, I don't think I have season 4 yet on Amazon, but I'm not in a huge rush to watch season 3 either... will be an occasional thing to watch if I have some free time and nothing else to do... ergo it might well drag out over the next year
 
Season 1 was great and I kept watching hoping it would find those heights again. Unfortunately it got bad pretty quickly and then progressively worse. Must have watched up to season 5 - 6 or so and gave up.
 
This show went downhill manyyyy seasons ago. Killing Carl off from very stupid considering the comic book was based on Carl and growing up in this world. I doubt Rick will be killed off and making Daryl the new frontman is hilarious!
