I purchased a nexus6 and copied my photos folder from my nexus5 into my photo folder on the nexus6

Using a 3rd party 'gallery' (quick pic) app I can see they are present on the phone.

When I use the default 'photo' app the pictures show but only because I am looking at the cloud backup. When I disable data they are not there. Anyone have any advice to change this ?

I'd seriously advise switching to QuickPic for your gallery.

The default one with Google+ integration is pretty poor imo.

Yeah I noticed the gallery didn't pick up my WhatsApp images. Thats when I decided to switch. Not sure either...

Grrrrr winds me up. Clearly the PICs are on my phone as quick PIC sees them with or with out data. But googles 'photo' just sees the cloud version of the same PIC

Personally I found the Photos app too much of a mess. Moved to QuickPic on my Nexus 10.

Are the photos stored in DCIM -> Camera?

You tried the material design gallery app from Motorola? I've been using it as a replacement for the useless Photos app on my 5 for a while now and its been fine :)

Ok chaps will try both. I might also delete my cloud storage I have and see if that does the trick. Everything is backed up else where
