Android - do I sit tight, or grab something current?

If all goes well with my request to cancel my Vodafone contract I'll be in the market for a new Android phone.
In light of this, I'm wondering if I should just grab something as soon as I get the go ahead, or sit tight on a 30 day plan with my present HTC Magic until the next wave of Android phones hits?
The Desire & Nexus have been out a little while now and I don't want to end up with an obsolete phone, like I have with my Magic!

What's on the horizon atm?
 
Unless youre contemplating the galaxy s i'd just sit tight for a few months. Though not sure whats coming or how they are going to better whats out already by that much

Duel core snapdragons are on the way. Cant find out when though
 
I was considering the Galaxy S, but it's lack of a camera light is a bit of a downer for me.
Guess I'll sit tight and see what's on the way once I get confirmation of my cancellation, it'll probably take Vodafone months to sort anyway!

If you need it then you need it. my last 4 phones haven't had it on but i don't really need it. Galaxy isn't too bad in low light as it goes. best i've had yet.

Should be some good stuff out in the near future but they will probably not have a flash too.

Nothing comes out in Q4 really, they release in Q3 to get them in the shops for Q4. Unless you mean financial Q4 in which case then there will be some I guess.

I'd wait until Mid october, all the bigger releases should be out by then.
 
If this phone turns out to be the bees knees, I may have to sell my X10. Shame the second hand prices for the X10 are pretty low (considering).
 
I'd personally wait now especially if Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) is due to be announced later this year.
 
Maybe it is worth getting some 'wonga' from Envirophone instead of Ebay if I sell my X10 :p.

How good are HTC at sticking with release dates? Only experience I have is with Nokia :rolleyes::p - which we all know are great at release dates!
