Android unit, trying to mirror phone and get internet too, need help

If you choose a password can you select the security level?

i dont need to set one up ?

its not going to be a permanent thing, so i dont see why i would need one

Try turning off "automatically close hotspot" then turn on the hotspot.

Do you have a screenshot of the "set up portable hotspot" menu?

Can any other devices see you phones hotspot when its turned on?

i haven't tried anything else, i dont think i have anything to try it with

so i will try switching to 2.4 band, and i will try disabling the auto disconnect as well

Yay! It's working now
Signed into Google play and I'm updating apps

No idea why I didn't try it at 2.4
