Android unit, trying to mirror phone and get internet too, need help

i haven't tried anything else, i dont think i have anything to try it with

Change to 2.4ghz band.

Regardless if it’s only a temporary thing, set a password. Devices auto connect anyway and stops anything if you accidentally leave it on.

Just test 2.4ghz first. If still no go then maybe try different security options.

so i will try switching to 2.4 band, and i will try disabling the auto disconnect as well

Yep, probably being set to 5ghz is the problem here. As mentioned set it to 2.4 and see if it's visible

Signed into Google play and I'm updating apps

No idea why I didn't try it at 2.4
