Ah man.

I found a spider on my wardarobe earlier this evening so trapped it in a glass and left it sitting on my bedroom floor until I could dispose.

Anyway it was a pretty big heffer and i'm pretty sure I saw him looking at me through the glass all night. The glass started to get lots of condensation so as you can imagine he probably has fairly big fangs.

So i'm there creeping past him when I need to leave the room... until about 10 minutes ago when I forgot the glass was there and proceeded to kick it in the direction of my bed.

Spider is no where to be seen... he must be pretty angry at being trapped and I want to go bed :(

Here's a picture of him pre-capture;

It's a boring common house spider, go to bed you big girl.

The only time I move them is if they are directly over the bed, Then I put them at the other side of the room. Would rather have spiders than flies.

much better :p how did it fit in the glass? lol I can imagine on that big breaking out copperfield style, you come back into the room and it's made a run for it ;) try not to eat it in your sleep, would take too much chewing

That's nothing! I had a wolf spider jump AT me when I went to my front door the other day!

Frightened the bejesus out of me :-(

those things really are angry, and massive to boot :-(

A house spider? Are they trained?

And you knowingly remove a spider from above your bed and place it only across the room!? Surely that defeats the objective as the spider will just walk back above your bed if it feels like it ?

id be sleepining inside the fridge or somethign if that guy were loose in my room. i'm a total girl and im fine with it lol.

It filled the circumference of a pint glass... chopped it's toenails off mind (so maybe it won't be able to climb walls??)

And wtf are those wolf spiders? Do they exist in the UK?

Luckily I have a blocked nose so no chance of it creeping up there

I had one in my bedroom, and I don't know where he's gone now :(

I was as pleasant to him as I think I could have been expected - I always said good morning, and good night to him.

I don't know where he's gone now though - I haven't seen him for a week or so. I hope he comes back.

There's one in the living room too. He likes to watch TV.

you ate him in your sleep, simple

Fine. I hope you've had your tonsils out too, as they're going to get a good humping. *

* Possibly the creepiest thing I've typed in a while.

I lol'd quite heartily :D

It could be worse.
This afternoon I had to move my red clawed crab from my big tank to my small tank which is next to my bed because he was eating my fish.
He is not a happy chappy he keeps waving his claws at me when ever I walk past him and there is no lid on the tank :-\
