Animal rescues full - covid dogs, cost of living, greedy breeders

Does breeder licenses exist? That and crack down on illegal puppy farms and I'd call that the best you can do.

If you go to a proper KC registered breeder or a rescue, you are generally putting the dogs best interest at heart, but you will always end up paying more.

The trouble is nobody likes paying more than they could and want a fashionable dog and want it for the cheapest price possible.

Yes they do exist, but whether you need one is a bit of a grey area, almost everyone probably should have a dog breeding license, but huge numbers don't - they just sell the pups on social media, where nobody gives a ****.

But in the end, the practical reality is - there's just no muscle to enforce these rules properly anyway.

We're currently in a situation where you can steal an armfull of stuff from a shop and walk out with zero consequences, so under the current system - if we can't enforce the basic rule of law, nobody is going to care about breeding dogs.

(I think licensing should be mandatory, breeding should be controlled - to prevent frankenstein-dog breeding)
